Synthesis of carbon nitride nanotubes via a catalytic-assembly solvothermal route

摘要
Large-scale synthesis of carbon nitride nanotubes was carried out by a catalytic-assembly solvothermal route involving the reaction of cyanuric chloride (C3N3Cl3) with sodium using NiCl 2 as catalyst precursor. The carbon nitride nanotubes with the CN stoichiometry are orderly assembled as bundles and have an outer diameter of about 50-100 nm and an inner diameter of 30-70 nm. The lengths of the nanotubes are up to several tens of micrometers.
