High pT measurements with BRAHMS

摘要
We present high transverse momentum particle spectra from Au+Au collisions at roots(NN) 200 GeV measured with the BRAHMS detector. At midrapidity, unidentified hadron spectra have been measured to a momentum of 5 GeV/c. The shape of the spectra indicates that hadron yields are suppressed at high PT in central collisions relative to a nucleon-nucleon reference scaled for collision geometry. The ratio of protons to all hadrons has been measured UP to p(T)=3.5 GeV/c and exceeds 1/3 at p(T) > 2 GeV/c. At y approximate to 2 negative pion spectra have been measured over a broad PT range to investigate the medium effects at forward rapidities.
