摘要
Characteristics of metalloceramics can be improved using metal coated ceramic powder and electroless processes are attractive for these purposes. The paper presents experimental results on electroless nickelphosphorus (Ni-P) deposition onto a-alumina powder. The metallized powder obtained was submitted to elemental analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The microstructure of the metallization at different levels of catalization was observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and the results obtained are discussed.
