摘要
A 3D carbon fiber-reinforced polylactic acid (C3D/PLA) composite was produced by vacuum solution impregnation and hot pressing. Tests showed that the composite has higher values of tensile and impact strengths, closer modulus value to that of bone and lower in vitro degradation rate than its unidirectional continuous carbon fiber-reinforced polylactic acid (CL/PLA) counterpart. However, further work is required to decrease the void content to increase its shear strength. Higher-performance PLA is required to improve its degradation properties. The C3D/PLA composite can be a promising medicinal material for high-load applications.
