摘要
The structural transformations occurring artificial aging of the 2024 Al-Cu-Mg-based alloy have been studied by positron lifetime and Doppler technique and by transmission electron spectroscopy (TEM), The results show; af the presence of an undissolved fraction of Cu at any stage of the thermal treatment b)partial dissolution during the initial stages of artificial aging of the Guinier-Preston zones formed during RT pre-aging; c) transformation of GP zones into S' particles; d) heterogeneous nucleation of precipitates.
