Electrocatalytic properties of nanocrystalline alloys: Effect of the oxygen concentration in Ti2RuFeOx, alloy on the structural and electrochemical properties
High energy ball milling has been used to prepare Ti-Ru-Fe-O quaternary alloys to use as activated material in the fabrication of electrodes to catalyze the hydrogen evolution reaction in chlorate electrolysis cells. The effect of the oxygen content on the structural and electrochemical performances of the material has been assessed, For oxygen content comprises between 1.0 and 13.4 wt%, no marked influence of the oxygen content on the electrocatalytic properties of the alloys has been found.
