摘要
A track image analyser based on a linear charged coupled detector array is presented. The system can view large detector areas and operates in conjunction with an original image analysing software. The analyser is designed to extend both the minimum detectable level, by scanning large areas, and the track saturation level, by recognising partially overlapping pits. Tables of diameter statistics were generated from the analysis of CR-39 plates irradiated by monoenergetic neutrons. These can be used for the unfolding of neutron energy distributions, as was verified with radionuclide and benchmark spectra.
