摘要
The occurrence and importance of bubbles in a multitude of fluid systems is discussed. The gas bubbles form the simplest building block of bubble systems. Spontaneously formed bubbles, like obtained during water boiling, contain mainly liquid vapor instead of gas. Bubble formation, based on cavitation process, results in sonoluminescence. The dynamics involved in oscillating and collapsing bubbles, and the medical applications of bubbles are also discussed.
