This section covers the general area of lymphocyte development, including both B and T cells, and spanning the earliest events of lymphoid commitment to selection of mature populations. A recurrent theme is the application of transgenic and knockout technology to help dissect the complex processes involved in the generation of B and T lymphocytes.
