摘要
The use of metals and other materials to repair the human body has been recorded for centuries, dating back several millenia. Advances in biomaterials have enabled doctors and scientists to replace diseased body parts with natural or synthetic materials such as metals, ceramics, or polymers. In addition, recent advances in tissue engineering soon enable the development of organs tissues to replace those damaged by disease or trauma.
