摘要：

Dynamic composition of Web services requires service consumers to discover service providers that satisfy given functional and nonfunctional requirements, including cost and QoS requirements such as performance and availability. An example is presented to illustrate the importance of being able to select which services to use in a composite web service. The importance of considering other attributes, such as availability, security, and trust, as well as combining different QoS attributes is emphasized.
