Highly sensitive optical sampling system using timing-jitter-reduced gain-switched optical pulse

摘要
To measure the ep diagram of a high bit rate optical signal, the authors have generated a sampling pulse by gain switching, and have reduced the timing jitter by using CW Light injection. The system jitter was 0.7ps, and the signal-to-noise ratio was 20dB at a signal peak power of 2.3mW.
