The North American Erysiphe flexuosa (Peck) U. Braun & S. Takamatsu (= Uncinula flexuosa Peck, Uncinuliella flexuosa (Peck) U. Braun) has been found in Germany on Aesculus hippocastanum L. and represents a new powdery mildew disease for Europe. This fungus is described, illustrated, and discussed.
