摘要
PLB is a major regulator of cardiac contractile kinetics through its ability to modulate SERCA2 function, and thus SR Ca2+ load. Significant advancements have been made in understanding the dynamics of PLB's interaction with SERCA2, which affect cardiac SR function and contractility. Such progress has paved the way for the development of therapeutic strategies, involving inhibition of PLB expression or activity, which may be valuable in the treatment of defective Ca2+ homeostasis in various cardiomyopathies.
