摘要
Various mechanical behaviours of Rohacell-51WF foam are studied in the present paper. Uniaxial tension and compression, and pure shear properties are obtained using standard test techniques. A hydrostatic test rig was designed to conduct hydrostatic compressive tests on the foam. These material tests give basic mechanical properties of the studied foam. Transverse shear effects on the compressive behaviour of the foam are studied by developing a shear-compression test technique. Deformation and failure features during foam crushing are discussed according to experimental evidence. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
