Primary and secondary alcohols can be selectively oxidized under microwave irradiation into the corresponding aldehydes and ketones within 5-30 min using commercially available and magnetically retrievable Magtrieve(TM). (C) 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
