Suppression of the amplified spontaneous emission in chirped-pulse-amplification lasers by clean high-energy seed-pulse injection

摘要
We have suppressed the amplified spontaneous emission in a femtosecond terawatt Ti:sapphire chirped-pulse-amplification (CPA) laser by injecting clean microjoule seed pulses into thr regenerative amplifier. The intensity contrast ratio, which is one of the major difficulties in CPA lasers, was improved from similar to 10(5) in the original nanojoule injection case to similar to 10(7) in the nanosecond scale.
