摘要
Synthesis of Controlled Rod-Coil Block Copolymers of poly(p-benzamide) and polystyrene from polystyrene macroinitiators (MI) with the phenoxycarbonyl end group was discussed. Bock copolymer consisting of a nonpolar segment with the phenyl side chain and a polar segment with the phenylene group in the main chain were self assembled. The coil segments and the rod segments, in the block copolymers, possess a low polydispersity and a controlled molecular weight. The living anionic polymerization of styrene was carried out with sec-butyllithium and was followed by quenching with dry ice to afford polystyrene with the carboxyl end group. NMR spectra showed that the shifted upfield resulting in unprecedented well-defined rod-coil block copolymers of aromatic polyamide and polystyrene. The block copolymer turned out to self-assemble in 2-propanol to give submicrometer-sized, spherical aggregates.
