摘要
This payer discusses the performance of sacrificial layer under blast loading. A number of blast experiments have been carried out on sacrificial layered claddings. The blast overpressures were recorded by two crystal-type blast pressure gauges, The deformations of the layers of the claddings were also recorded. The layers collapsed successively in the same manner as predicted in the analytical studies. The collapse mode of the unit cell was always the same as predicted in the analytical studies. However, collapse of the layers was slower than predicted in the analytical studies. The experiments have shown the efficacy of the layered sacrificial claddings in design of blast resistant structures. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
