摘要：

There are patients whose renal stones are best treated through percutaneous methods. These indications as well as improvements in selection criteria are reviewed. The advantages and disadvantages of modifications to the original technique are discussed. Percutaneous management of renal calculi provides safe and cost effective treatment for renal stones.
