摘要
12 samples from different tanning industries and corresponding to leather wastes and semi-processed leather trimmings and shavings have been characterized. The characterization includes the determination of moisture level, reactivity, analysis of dry sample, analysis of the effluent from the leachability test and toxicity test with Photobacterium phosphoreum and Daphnia magna. The leachability of Cr, Zn, Pb, Cd, Ni, Cu, Ba and phenolic compounds was evaluated by three different methods: the extraction procedure (EP) according to the Spanish legislation (very similar to the EP test from USEPA), the extraction procedure from the EEC proposal of Directive and the toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) from the USEPA.
