摘要
Adsorption of cephalosporin C on a non-ionic polymeric sorbent, SP850, was studied in a column adsorber under various operating conditions such as temperature, pH, concentration, flow rate, and LID ratio. An adsorption model was formulated by employing the surface diffusion inside resin particles. Single-species equilibrium data were simply represented by Freundlich equation. The model equations were solved numerically by an orthogonal collocation method. The model successfully simulates the adsorption behavior in a column under different operating conditions, but the considerable deviations are observed at low solution pHs, at which different ionic species may coexist.
