摘要
The optical limiting properties of Multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) suspensions and didecylamine modified MWNTs (MDDA) solutions were investigated in different solvents using 532 nm nanosecond laser pulses. Both of the MDDA solutions and MWNTs suspensions show better optical limiting performances in chloroform than in dichlorobenzene (DCB). While the optical limiting mechanism of the MWNTs suspensions was assigned to the nonlinear scattering, the combined mechanism of nonlinear scattering and nonlinear absorption was suggested for the optical limiting behavior of soluble carbon nanotubes.
