General relationships between the fluctuational electromagnetic field energy, tangential force, and heating rate of a relativistic neutral particle moving near a flat surface are established for the first time. Within the framework of the fluctuational electrodynamics, closed expressions describing these quantities are obtained for arbitrary temperatures of the particle and the surface.
