The etiological agent of bacterial blight of kiwifruit is Pseudomonas viridiflava. In this research relationships among the seasons, the environmental conditions and incidence of the disease have been studied. Several chemical compounds have been used to verify their ability to reduce the presence of P. viridiflava on the phylloplane of kiwifruit. Copper compounds are more effective than urea to control the epiphytic populations of the pathogen.
