Correlation between lasing and photophysical performance of dyes in polymethylmethacrylate

摘要
Laser dyes rhodamine 6G. rhodamine B, coumarin 30 and coumarin 2 are embedded in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) matrix. These materials are pumped by nitrogen laser to study their lasing action. Lasing properties and photophysical properties of these materials are correlated. Photostability of the dye/PMMA samples is also studied. Rhodamine B is found to be the most photostable dye while coumarin 2 is the least photostable dye in PMMA host, (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
