摘要
Liquid crystalline 4,4'-dialkylazobenzenes have been extracted from their synthetic reaction mixture with supercritical carbon dioxide. The simplex method has been used to optimize the time-temperature-pressure parameters. Supercritical extraction significantly improves the yield of the azobenzenes and strongly reduces the purification time as compared with the conventional column chromatography method.
