摘要
Performance funding, which ties state funding tightly to institutional performance, exhibits both popularity and volatility. This article compares the survey results from state and campus leaders in Missouri and Tennessee with those from the four states that dropped performance funding to identify the characteristics that distinguish stable from unstable programs.
