The kinetics of phase transformations in ferromagnetic shape memory alloys Ni-Mn-Ga

摘要
A computational model for the martensitic phase transition in ferromagnetic Ni-Mn-Ga alloys under external magnetic, thermal and stress influence is developed. Stress-strain, strain-temperature, strain-magnetic field and other dependencies can be obtained by this model. It is shown that the influence of the magnetic field on the martensitic phase transition is stronger when Young's modules of alloys are smaller. Transformation volume is smaller when Young's modules of alloys are smaller. Our results agree well with experiment. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
