Dissociation and electron-ion angular distributions in inner-valence photoionisation of CO and N2

摘要
Kinetic energy releases and angular correlations between photoelectrons and ions produced by photoionisation of CO and N-2 at 40.8 nm have been measured by photoelectron-photoion coincidence spectroscopy. From the kinetic energies released, the final product states are identified for defined initial ionisation energies. Spectra showing branching ratios into different product channels and the asymmetry of the electron-ion angular distributions may be useful tools for identification of states in the inner valence region.
