The effects of containers of precursors on the properties of zirconia powders

摘要
The properties of zirconia prepared by hydrothermal treatment at 110degreesC in tetramethylammonium hydroxide solution were studied. It was found that the container of the precursor solutions plays an important role in the properties of the ZrO2 particles. The Si and Na species dissolved from the containers change the surface area, crystallite size and crystallization temperature of the ZrO2 powders. Our results indicate that special attention must be paid in choosing the container of precursors. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
