摘要：

In the novel double salt Ag2C2 . 2AgClO(4) . 2H(2)O, the C-2(2)-dianion [bond length 1.217(7) Angstrom] is encapsulated inside an octahedral Ag6 cage, and the resulting cationic [C-2@Ag-6] units share corners to generate metallic layers between which the perchlorate anions and aqua ligands are accommodated.
