The synthesis and thermal effect of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles

摘要
In order to develop new cell thawing agents, magnetic CoFe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by the co-precipitation method and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and vibrating sample magnetometer. Furthermore, the thermal effect of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles under the alternating magnetic field was studied. The results showed that the size of CoFe2O4 particles increased with the heat-treatment temperature, i.e., 10-12 nm at 100 degrees C and 10-40 nm at 700 degrees C, leading to the increase in the saturation magnetization and remanent magnetization. Under the alternating magnetic field, both the thermal rate and the stable temperature of the CoFe2O4 nanoparticles increased with the concentration of nanoparticles. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V.
