Molecular arrangement of the Davydov-split dye aggregates

摘要
A theoretical model for the molecular arrangement of the THIATS aggregate revealing the Davydov-split absorption spectrum is developed. This model takes into consideration the exciton-phonon coupling and quantitatively describes the absorption lineshapes and the positions of the absorption maxima. The value of the exciton-phonon coupling is estimated. The difference between the localization lengths of the exciton in the H- and J-bands is shown. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V.
