Generalized bistability in an erbium-doped fiber laser

摘要
We present experimental confirmation of bistable behavior between two distinct periodic orbits in a self-pulsing dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser. This result had been theoretically predicted with an ion-pair model that was valid for the description of most of the dynamic properties of this kind of laser. (C) 1998 Optical Society of America.
