Sonochemical preparation of Au, Ag, Pd/SiO2 mesoporous nanocomposites

摘要
Metal/SiO2 mesoporous nanocomposites were prepared by impregnation of mesoporous solids in the corresponding metal salts followed by sonochemical reduction. The composites were characterized by UV-Vis absorption, HRTEM, and TEM. It was found that the nanopores of mesoporous silica allow for encapsulation of the metal particles and control the particles size. (C) 2003 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
