摘要
The use of chemometrics for spectroscopic analysis was discussed. It was found that PCA could resolve the pure spectrum of a minute chemical component in a mixture, and can be applied to mid-infrared spectroscopy. A very minute signal from the boundary water is readily resolved from the strong signal from the bulk water by PCA. An example was used in which chemometrics was more positively used, so that new physical insight could be extracted.
