摘要
Australia has significant political aid, as well as ocean interests in the South Pacific. This paper considers Australia's role in assisting the island states to implement ocean programs as outlined in Chapter 17 of Agenda 21, the action program of the UNCED meeting held in June 1992. It is suggested that Australia has played a useful role with respect to assisting the island states in realising their ocean potential as outlined in Agenda 21.
