摘要
This article examines eight cases of justification of Advanced Manufacturing Technology as additional evidence to explain how strategic myopia understates the benefits that might be obtained from new technology. It also presents a method of evaluating investments in Advanced Manufacturing Technology relative to external key competitive factors. The suggested method starts with identifying market forces, key competitive factors, competitive and opportunity gap, and then measures its benefits through its contribution to the closing of competitive and opportunity gap.
