Environment around Li in the LiAlSiO4, ionic conductor glass:: A neutron-scattering and reverse Monte Carlo study

摘要
The environment around Li in a LiAlSiO4 glass has been studied by neutron scattering with isotopic substitution of Li and reverse Monte Carlo modeling. Li atoms are found in distorted tetrahedral sites which are edge-linked with (Si,Al)O-4 tetrahedra and with a first Li-Li distance near 5 Angstrom. The increase in the activation energy for ionic conduction from the aluminosilicate to the silicate glasses is explained by the structural differences.
