Reducing polyatomic interferences in the ICP-MS determination of chromium and vanadium in biofluids and tissues

摘要
The suitability of inductively coupled plasma quadrupole mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for the determination of Cr and V in biofluids and tissues has been studied. High-pressure thermal and moderate-pressure microwave sample preparation with vapor-phase acid digestion successfully minimized blanks and carbon and chloride interferences. The remaining ArC+ interferences on Cr-52 were corrected mathematically. Analysis of standard reference materials verified the accuracy of the method.
