Spectroscopic and vapochromic properties of MCM-48-entrapped trisbipyridineruthenium (II)

摘要
Tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(II)(Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)) has been incorporated into mesoporous silicate, MCM-48 and Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)/MCM-48 were investigated by electronic absorption, emission, FT-Raman and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy. The emission spectra show that the wavelength of maximum intensity (lambda(max)) of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) increases with the increasing of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) loading level. The vapochromic property of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)/MCM-48 was investigated. It was observed that the wavelength maximum intensity of emission(lambda(max)) for Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)/MCM-48 was red-shifted when acetone vapor was introduced. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
