This checklist reports on 250 lichen species of Israel (as well as the Sinai peninsula). The following species have not been recorded before: Bacidia naegelii, Caloplaca holocarpa, Catapyrenium sqamulosum, Collema coccophorum, C. crispum var. metzleri, C. flaccidum, Dermatocarpon walthekii, Dirina massiliensis, Hyperphyscia adglutinata, Lecanora chlarotera, Lecidea lurida, Leptogonium corniculatum, Ochrolechia pallescens, Peltula euplaca, Physcia semipinnata, Placidiopsis dalmatica, Clauzadea chondrodes, Teloschistes villosus, and ThelenelIa hassei.
