Organic electroluminescent devices doped with condensed polycyclic aromatic compounds

摘要
Two dopants with condensed aromatic rings were examined. Hexabenzobenzene (coronene) and tri-peri-naphthylenebenzene (decacyclene) were respectively doped into blue organic electroluminescent (EL) cells. The coronene-doped cell exhibited a blue-green emission of 5300 cd/m(2) at 17 V. The decacyclene-doped cell exhibited a green emission of 12300 cd/m at 19 V. Lifetime of the decacyclene-doped cell was greatly improved. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
