摘要
We suggest a scenario for simultaneous emission of gravitational-wave (GW) and gamma-ray bursts from soft gamma-ray repeaters. We argue that both of the radiations can be generated by super-Eddington accreting neutron stars in x-ray binaries. We estimate the rise time scale, Delta t(c) = 0.21 ms, the accretion rate needed to trigger the gamma-ray emission, M-lambda = 4.5 x 10(28) g/s, its associated effective temperature, T-eff = 740 keV, and the time scale for repeating a burst of gamma rays, Delta tau(R) = 11.3 yr. We find the associated GW amplitude and frequency to be h(c) = 2.7 x 10(-23)/(Hz)(1/2) and f(GW) = 966 Hz, for a source distance similar to 55 kpc. Detectability of the pulses by the forthcoming GW antennas is discussed and found likely.
