摘要
A new five-axis technique for machining of spherical surfaces with a radiused or flat bottom end mill is presented. The tool path generated by the proposed technique produces scallop free surfaces at a fraction of the time required by conventional milling using a ball nose end milt. The proposed method was verified experimentally on a wrist type and on a tilt-rotary table type five-axis milling machine.
