Essential oil constituents of Hyptis suaveolens (L.) Poit. (bush tea) leaves from Nigeria

摘要：

The essential oil of the leaves of Hyptis suaveolens (L.) Polt. from Nigeria was isolated by hydrodistillation. The oil was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Of the 49 components which were detected, 39 amounting to 89.5% were identified. The dominant components were sabinene (16.5%), trans-alpha-bergamotene and beta-caryophyllene (19.8%), terpinen-4-ol (9.6%) and beta-pinene (8.6%).
