Cell polarity: Par6, aPKC and cytoskeletal crosstalk

摘要
Par6 and atypical protein kinase C are key players in the establishment of cell polarity. First discovered in Caenorhabditis elegans, the function of this protein complex in all multicellular organisms. Recent work is beginning to throw light on how it converts information generated by extracellular cues into intracellular asymmetry.
