摘要
Novel ionic liquid lubricants based on monocationic and dicationic 2-substituted imidazolium ionic liquids were synthesized and evaluated as lubricants at 250°C. Results showed that both monocationic and dicationic 2-substituted imidazolium ionic liquids with bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide anion have excellent friction-reducing and anti-wear properties at high temperature, which is ascribed to the high chemical and thermal inertness. © 2008 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
