摘要：

The flow conditions of stepped spillways with streamlined crest heads are considered. A device and method for estimating head losses on a stepped spill way face are described. The stepped spillway was shown to be an effective energy dissipator. Formulae were derived for determining total energy losses from stepped spillways.
